Safeguarding Policy
Last updated: 30 September 2026
Our commitment
Layatire exists to help students learn. Many of our students are
children. Protecting them is the most important thing we do.
Who this policy covers
This policy applies to everyone on Layatire: tutors, students, parents,
and staff.
For parents and guardians
- Students under 18 must have a parent or guardian's consent to book lessons.
- Parents are welcome to sit in on any session.
- Parents can request the recording of any session (if the tutor agrees).
- If you are concerned about anything, email safeguarding@layatire.com immediately.
For tutors
- Never ask a student for personal contact details outside the platform.
- Never meet a student in person without a parent or guardian present.
- Never send or request photos of a student.
- Never discuss a student with anyone other than Layatire staff or the student's parent.
- If a student discloses harm or danger, report it to Layatire immediately.
- Sessions should happen in a well-lit, quiet space with the door open if possible.
For students
- Tell a parent or guardian if anything makes you uncomfortable.
- You never have to share anything you don't want to share.
- Use the Report button if a tutor or another student behaves inappropriately.
Our responsibilities
- We review reports within 24 hours.
- We remove accounts that violate this policy.
- We cooperate with law enforcement where required.
- We keep records of reports and actions taken.
Reporting a concern
If you see something that worries you — on or off the platform — email
safeguarding@layatire.com
or use the Report button on any page.
In an emergency, contact your local emergency services first.
