Layatire is an online tutoring platform that connects tutors and students
around the world. This policy explains what personal data we collect,
why we collect it, and what rights you have.
What we collect
- Account data: your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash — we never see the original).
- Profile data: the information you enter about yourself as a tutor or student.
- Session data: the bookings you make or receive, including subject, date, time, and duration.
- Technical data: your timezone and basic browser information needed to run the service.
What we do not collect
- We do not process or store payment card information. Students pay tutors directly.
- We do not sell or rent your data to third parties.
- We do not track you across other websites.
Why we collect it
We use your data only to provide the service: to let you log in, create a
profile, book sessions, and stay safe on the platform. That is it.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account is active. If you delete
your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where
we are legally required to keep certain records (for example, financial
records).
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data — ask us for a copy at any time.
- Correct your data — edit your profile directly in the app.
- Delete your data — use the "Delete my account" option in your settings.
- Object to how we use your data — contact us.
- Complain to your local data protection authority if you believe your rights have been violated.
Children
Layatire can be used by students under 18 only with verifiable parental
or guardian consent. If you are a parent and believe your child has
registered without your consent, please contact us and we will remove
the account.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use
advertising or analytics cookies.
